This course introduces foundational examination skills essential to physical therapy practice. Students develop proficiency in surface anatomy through identification of bony landmarks, joint lines, muscle borders, tendons, and major neurovascular structures on peer partners. The course introduces the use of common clinical assessment tools. Through guided practice and simple case scenarios, students apply early clinical reasoning to interpret examination findings and support safe, evidence-informed clinical decision making.
